Spam Killer - Finally.
Recently winning an Editor's Choice from PC Magazine, Spamkiller, may be the real thing. If you're connected these days, you've been pummeled by unwanted "spamming" from a variety of sources. These sources don't care what it takes to infiltrate your e-mail with their unwanted messages and offers. You can continue to hit delete a million times, or unsubscribe, but they keep coming.
The Seattle Times gave this one a great review. Spamkiller (www.spamkiller.com) sits between the mail client and server and sorts all incoming mail into two simple categories: Kill or Keep. You have to train it to recognize certain subjects or sources, but the program tends to make good judgement calls on its own. It allows you to filter and download only the screened messages, painlessly.
As technology increases, anti-spamming utilities will become more part of the mail client. E-mail software will begin having anti-spam type features built into the program. We can only hope soon.
